Do you feel called to bring the love and comfort of Christ to those at a local nursing home? We are looking for caring volunteers to help with our Prayer and Eucharist Ministry at Optalis Health Care, previously called SKLD, located on Adams Road.

The visit typically takes just over an hour each Tuesday at 11 AM. We are in desperate need of new volunteers for this location, including female ministers. We would like to have a team of four or more people to serve together or on a rotating basis. Free training is available for all new volunteers.

Volunteers lead a small group with the daily readings, a Rosary, and distribution of the Eucharist to those who long to stay connected to their faith. The team then sees residents who were not able to join the group by visiting them in their rooms. Our parishioner Steve Dunn is currently doing this ministry alone and is in need of help.
